3DS Multi Decryptor Aug 2014 – Mar 2015
A suite of tools built around the ARM9 security processor's AES engine, reverse-engineering keyY/IV generation to decrypt NCCH partitions, SD card content, NAND FAT16 images, and the title key database. Over 250,000 unique views on release and the base for numerous forked open-source utilities.
Virtual Reality Development 2014
Predicted the launch of Google Cardboard and Samsung/Oculus GearVR months before their releases, 3D printed a phone-based HMD, and hacked a PS3 Eye camera with an IR LED emitter to build 6DOF positional tracking. Contributed velocity/acceleration extrapolation to the SteamVR Razer Hydra driver.
Intelligent Platform Management Interface Security Research 2012 – 2014
Security analysis of the IPMI protocol on HP iLO and Dell iDRAC cards, including a Metasploit scanner module written in Ruby. Presented findings to the University of Alaska Fairbanks Office of Information Technology and to InfraGard (FBI).
